Restoring a Deleted Blog

How many times have I seen these situations in the Blogger Forum?

"Help! I deleted my blog - (accidentally, of course)!"

or,

"I want to start blogging again. I had a blog but deleted it. Why can't I get it back?"

or,

"I can't find my blog on the dashboard, anymore."

If you delete a blog, then decide you want it back again, you have options:-

• Restore it, yourself, before 90 days elapse from the date of deletion, or...
• If after the 90 Days, Create a new blog and 'Import' the Blog's XML file that you 'Exported' before you deleted the blog, OR...
• Let the Blogger team know the URL - via Blogger Help Forum.

If it is less than 90 days after you deleted the blog, and you can restore the blog - because it still appears on your dashboard,









Just to repeat - If it is more than 90 days, or so, since you deleted the blog, and it does not appear on your dashboard, then you have other alternatives:

• You can create another (new) Blog and 'Import' the Blog XML file that you 'saved' (Exported) from before you deleted the blog, or...
• You should report it on the Blogger Forum. Start a problem thread, and mark it to the attention of the Blogger Employee. Either, a Blogger Employee, who scans the forum regularly, or a Blog*Star, will get some action done on restoring the blog - but ...

Note: - YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPLY THE BLOG URL !

Then, again, as recently surmised, there may be other considerations, too.

p.s. I can't think of any sensible reason to delete a blog, anyway, but if you have to, read this again.
