I know it is a sign of the times, and these companies must have their reasons, but WiFi access at Supermarkets? Really!
It's great to know that in the face of increased competition for your dollar, in the Internet Access market, the United Kingdom's Tesco chain, is considering providing this facility for (they hope) customers.
I have a wicked sense of humour, and have been chuckling to myself about geeks squatting in the aisles, or resident Blogger TCs on hand to answer Blogging questions - kind of like the in-store Help Desk, but in reality, Tesco's boss intimates that a tight control will be taken in monitoring usage patterns.
I have to say congratulations to Tesco for their gumption (that's also in Cleaning products - aisle 7).
It's only going to be in the U.K. at first, but there's a lot of stores around the world. Big market for Tesco, if it works.
Time will tell.
