New Blogger in Draft - Settings - Language and Formatting

Location: Newcastle, NSW. Australia. Newcastle NSW, Australia

As at the time of writing this post, the option of Transliteration, normally found in the Global Settings section of the Settings - Basic screen, in Production Blogger (Orange), is disabled. see: Known Issues. The only languages I remember from the Transliteration feature (Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu) are all now available - plus loads of other languages, on the new Settings - Language and Formatting screen.

The Settings - Language and Formatting screen is a very simple screen. It is accessed through the Dashboard of Blogger in Draft...

When you select the Language and Formatting option, this next screen is displayed ...

Then, to choose a language for your post, simply click on the box which is highlighted in red in the next image, and see the offerings - more than you can shake a stick at!

The other part of this screen is the Formatting section. This contains the four very important areas of dates and times. Once again, as before in Production Blogger, there are drop-down menus.

Don't forget to 'Save Settings'!

Thanks for that but ... I have just tried to start using the iPad blogger app. My blog settings say uk English but the app opens in the local language. Today the local language is Arabic. Even though I have logged in properly it defaults to local and there is not a chance that I can read a single syllable of Arabic.
