New GUI - Blogger in Draft - Managing Posts

Location: Newcastle, NSW. Australia. Newcastle NSW, Australia

The ability to Manage Posts seems to be very centralised with the New GUI in Blogger in Draft. Some options have been introduced, or varied, such as Revert to Draft, Save, and Close (the editor). They are all at arm's reach, so to speak, and the compactness of this screen, is refreshing, and , I think, is very welcome.

I think the best of these changes is a 'manual' save, rather than the dreaded 'auto-save' function.

The Manage Blogs screen ...

As you can see from that image, everything is visible. The viewing options on the left - ALL, DRAFT, SCHEDULED, IMPORTED, and PUBLISHED, are readily available and probably less difficult to find than in Production Blogger.

Editing, Viewing, and Deleting a post are easy choices, too. Simply hover the mouse over a post, and the options become visible under the post title. Naturally, Viewing a post is only available on a Published Post.

Deleting a post can be done one of two ways. Either check the box next to the post, or click the 'Delete' option under the post ...

I like the option for Revert to Draft. In Production Blogger, this is a clumsy method, of waiting until the 'auto-save' updates, then navigating away from the page. With this New GUI function, it's quick, easy and well within your control. The following images show a published post being reverted to draft status ...

How easy was that?

Saving a post to Draft, is now as easy as anything. You just click 'Save' at the top of the Post Editor ...
