LABELS: Removing from Circles
Recently, I decided to stop Following several people who were in my Circles, on Google+. Why? Well, I thought that it was a total waste of time Following people who never contribute, or do anything, like comment.
This procedure is simple enough. It is done on the Your Circles screen.
Click on the Circle containing the person/people you wish to remove, and hover your mouse over the person. This highlights an 'X'.
Hover on the highlighted 'X' and a small pop-up will confirm who you've selected. Then click.
The icon of the person removed will also disappear from the screen.
The removal is now completed.
"Oh, my goodness, I have blocked the wrong person!"
This situation is often the case. No worries, however, as it is simple to correct. So, too, is Re-instating a Follower who has been removed from your circles.
Step 1 - The first thing you must do is navigate to the Profile of the person in question, which will appear like the following image.
Step 2 - Navigate to the bottom of the screen.
Step 3 - Click on the box which says 'BLOCKED".
Step 4 - Select a Circle to place him/her in.
NOTE: If a Follower has been 'Removed' from your Circles, he/she will need to be re-added to your Circles, as if he/she was a new Follower. Naturally, you can only Block, or Report, a Follower who is not a member of your Circles.
In May, 2013, I wrote a post on this very subject - 'Blocking, or Stopping, a Google+ Follower', and used my friend David, as an example. Well, things have changed slightly, and once again, with David as an example, the updated method is demonstrated.
Step 1 - Choose (mouse-click) the Follower you wish to Stop (remove from your circles), Block, or Report. You need to navigate to his/her Profile.
Step 2 - Click on the highlighted down-arrow symbol (see next image).
Step 3 - Choose the option you wish.
Step 4 - Finalise your choice, or action.
